We caught up with freestyle football World Champion, Liv Cooke, as she joins the Football Foundation team as an official Fan.
Speaking at Bamber Bridge Leisure Centre at the breaking ground event for South Ribble Playing Pitch Hub – an amazing new facility which will see the delivery of two full size 3G pitches and a changing pavilion – Liv describes her passion for grassroots football and the importance of having facilities accessible for all.
The site, located only 10 minutes from where Liv grew up in her home county of Lancashire, is set to open in 2022 with help from an £800k investment from the Premier League, The FA and the Government’s Football Foundation.
The project will have a huge impact on the local community, helping to transform lives through the power of pitches and empower more women and girls to get involved in football; a cause close to Liv’s heart.
