John Deere has officially launched its first ever walk-behind electric greens mowers, marking an important milestone in the company’s history of innovation.

There are two models, which will be available to order later this year. The 185 E-Cut Electric has an 18-inch cutting width, while the 225 E-Cut Electric can cut 22 inches in a pass.
Both are packed with a 58-volt, 3.2kwh lithium battery which can cut over an acre on a charge.
Electric reel drive means operators always work at an ideal 2,200 rpm, and backlapping is possible with just the press of a button.
Deere strengthens fairway mower range with hybrid technology
John Deere has also added new hybrid technology to its existing range which sees the company’s most popular fairway mower – the 7700A E-Cut Hybrid – given five electric reel motors for the first time.
Benefits include reduced fuel consumption, less noise, and fewer potential hydraulic leak points, with the 100″ cut width performed by five 22″ QA7 reels.
The 42hp, four-wheeled 7700A E-Cut is also suitable for verticutting – another first for the model.
Those preferring a three-wheeled option can choose the 6700A E-Cut Hybrid. Users still get the 100″ cut from five reels, and verticutting capability, but can perform tighter turns with more ease.
